The Fosters Episode 9 Recap – Emotions run High

So This is What Happened:
Steph got shot by Ana’s lover, who then got shot by Mike. Steph survived barely while her attacker didn’t make it. In the meanwhile Lena is having a hard time forgiving Mariana and Jesus for meeting their birth mother behind their back, and bringing Steph in such great danger. Not only is Brandon upset with Mariana and Jesus, but also with his father, who can’t stop drinking even when Steph is in critical condition. We also get to know how Steph found the courage to come out to Mike and her family. Since Mike shot someone when he wasn’t even on duty or reporting why they went to Ana’s house, he is under investigation. And that’s not even half of what’s in this episode.

This episode has definitely bumped The Fosters up to my list of favorite TV-Shows. The characters get more and more depth, and it seems like the actors are getting better with each episode. This show proves that a great storyline and actors who understand the concept are everything you need to create an outstanding experience. There aren’t any scandals or special effects needed. I can’t wait to see how it continues next week, but at the same time I am sad that this is the season finale.
