Long Story Short:

Six Hundred years in the future people have turned blind as a result of a virus. In the village of Alkenny a community tries to live and survive peacefully with their left senses. But a journey of survival begins when the village gets attacked by witchfinders, and twins are born with the gift of sight.

Review:

To be fair: I have only watched one episode, so my review is solely based on that.

The premise, and the strong trailer and lead (Jason Mamoa) made me curious and excited to watch See. But ultimately I felt betrayed.

The story does not seem to evolve at all. Everything feels dragged, I found myself cleaning up because I got bored. The action sequences were okay but didn’t safe the lackluster story development.

When the evil queen started masturbating, I was pretty much over it. I don’t mind a sexual undertone or even graphic sex scenes, but only when it’s needed.

I am not sure if I should continue watching it. I will leave it up to you. Maybe I am missing out on a real gem.

Premise: 9/10
