Long Story Short:
Holly (Kristen Johnston) is a divorce lawyer who allows three of her clients to live in her second apartment that was supposed to be for her and her ex-fiancé who ended up cheating on her. The three men couldn’t be any more different: Phil (Donald Faison) is a lady killer, Haskell (Wayne Knight) leaves the apartment maybe once a week, and Steward (David Alan Blansche) is the good soul who keeps the trio together. Holly and the exes establish a great friendship, and help each other out no matter how crazy the issues might be.
Review:
The Exes make you laugh from the very first episode and the characters grow to you in no time. The writing is very creative, and even though we have heard some jokes before, the show keeps its pace up and even takes some of the known jokes a step further. It gets quite raunchy sometimes, but that’s what I love about the show: It’s often unexpected. I wasn’t sure about Wayne Knight’s performance at first, but he turned out to be a young Jerry Stiller (Known for his role as Arthur in The King of Queens), and each of his lines is spot on. Kristen Johnston’s faces are hilarious and it is hard to keep a straight face while looking at her. We already know from Scrubs that Donald Faison is a great actor and I am glad he got another role. The balance of the show is created by David Alan Basche, who is settle at times and sometimes just outrageous. Kelly Stables as Holly’s quirky assistant is a winner, too. With each episode there are more laughs, the characters are progressing, and I believe this show is one of the funniest on TV right now.

The exes is AWESOME!! SO hysterical. The best thing since Seinfeld. I’m watching it on direct TV now. I know Kelli stables tells us we r messing with the nielson ratings and to watch it Wednesday Nights at 10:30 BUT that’s too late for lots of us! Could u please aire it more often and offer various time slots? Its the best comedy ever!!!!;
I guess they have to air it a little later because it has a lot of “adult” jokes in it. But I agree, they would definitely benefit if they aired it earlier.
