Long Story Short: Lenny and his family move back to his hometown, so him and his childhood buddies are back together and up to no good. This time they plan to have a huge party like in old times. But with their kids around they have to slow down on the craziness, which isn’t that easy when some enemies from the past and new bullies come around.
Review: Everyone is ripping this movie apart, but what I don’t understand is, why would someone watch a sequel of a movie they didn’t like in the first place? We know what to expect from Adam Sandler- movies: A thin storyline and a lot of fart, vomit and fat jokes. So why are people acting surprised? However I thought part two literally went even more below the waist line as far as the fart and $h!t jokes go. This time they also added a lot of (stupid) gay moments: The cliche (feminine) gay guys, closet cases in the fraternity and a few other incidents. I can’t really say who the target audience is, but it looks like a twelve year old wrote the script, so I guess this is the crowd the movie was made for. After all it is rated PG-13. I wished they would have added some smart dialogues, but unfortunately they didn’t. There have been a few funny moments that I enjoyed, especially everything about Chris Rock and his family, but most jokes just went flat and ended up being rather annoying. Since it didn’t disappoint at the box office, I assume they will make a third part, and I dearly hope that this time they will actually sit together and think about a fun, smart and entertaining script that doesn’t insult most of its audience. I had a few laughs and wasn’t storming out of the movies cursing at the world, and if you are an Adam Sandler Fan I am sure you won’t either.
