Long Story Short: Mary Jane Paul is a successful black woman who has her own TV- Show, however, her private life is not as satisfying as her career. She is still looking for Mr. Right and is longing for a child. On top of that she is the only one that seems to have a job in her family, so she feels responsible for her pregnant niece, her broke brothers and her sick mother, just to mention a few. How can you find your own happiness if you have too many other people to worry about?
Review: Gabrielle Union finally got her own show after she lost the lead in Scandal to Kerry Washington – and she is looking good. The whole cast seems to be doing a fine job so far, and I can’t wait to see how the plot is going to develop, even though I think I can predict a few things already. I believe the target group are women, but I am sure if men watch it, they might learn a few things about women. Two characters that got on my nerves a little are her little brother, because he kept laughing like a dumb ass, and her older brother’s wife, who could have been left out, at least in the pilot. Otherwise it doesn’t look too bad.
