Long Story Short: In order to escape her abusive and controlling husband, a young woman fakes her own death and tries to start a new life. But how can you start a new life when you keep looking over your shoulder at any given moment, knowing that the man who made your life so miserable could show up any time?
Review: I love Julia Roberts in this movie. She plays such a fragile yet strong woman, and she is so believable. Patrick Bergin is a great villain and the music he played in two scenes – Dream of a Witches’ Sabbath (5th Movement of “Symphonie Fantastique”) – is terrifying but definitely the right song to describe his character. The character development could be a little deeper and there could be a few more twists, and there could have been more tension towards the end, but for that given time it was a really great movie, that brings solid, believable acting on the table.
