Review:
I have to say I wasn’t too ecstatic to hear there was going to be a sequel of Kick-Ass. Even though I liked part one, I always saw it as a sequel free action comedy that stood out with its fun and almost mocking way of over the top violence and comic feel. I was also wondering what kind of story they would come up with, that wouldn’t seem like a “Pulled-out-of-someone’s-ass” – idea. Well, story wise I hate to be right, but there isn’t much that Kick-Ass 2 has to offer. Furthermore Hit- Girl, my favorite character doesn’t have too much air time, which is another let down. On top of that, the fight and gore scenes are more graphic, but unlike part one, this part almost seems to glorify violence. Besides, the soundtrack of the 2010 film was much better, too. Is Kick-Ass 2 a total disaster? No! It might not have the same charm the previous movie had, but there are funny and hilarious moments along with extreme good action sequences. But it is in my opinion a sequel no one really asked for. So I can only hope that they don’t think about releasing a third part, since that would totally ruin it. The world doesn’t need a franchise for everything.

Good take 🙂 I have my doubts on this one, as it hasn’t released here yet. I guess I might go for this one if there is no other option in the theatres next week.
